    1. Introduction of sponge sandpaper

Sponge sandpaper is the same as ordinary paper sandpaper. One is planted with a layer of sand on the paper, and the other is planted with a layer of sand on the sponge. Therefore, the sponge sandpaper is not directly polished with a rough sponge. Same as sandpaper, only one side can be used. Compared with paper-made sandpaper, the biggest advantage of sponge sandpaper is durability, followed by the advantages of softness and good water absorption.

    2. Advantages of sponge sandpaper

Because the sandpaper is spongy, the pressure is very good when sanding, and the force is very uniform, which directly affects the sanding effect. Although the sanding efficiency is similar to ordinary paper sandpaper, it feels better than paper sandpaper when sanding, and the sponge sanding pads of the same thickness are smoother than paper sandpapers.

Sponge sandpaper boasts good water absorption. If you polish some filler, it is best to dip it in water. However, sponge sandpaper can be directly soaked in water for polishing without worrying about the sandpaper breaking.

Some people may worry about whether the sponge sandpaper will damage the model when polishing surface. In fact, try to avoid edges and corners when polishing the surface, and try not to repeatedly polish back and forth in one direction when polishing. It is best to rotate and polish from the inside to the outside when polishing. Just like waxing a car, this can avoid edges and corners and the polishing effect is very uniform.
