Application of Flap Wheels

Flap wheels, also known as consolidation abrasive tool, are a kind of consolidation abrasive tool which consolidates ordinary abrasive into a certain shape (mostly round, with through holes in the center) and it has a certain strength. It is generally composed of abrasives, binders and air holes. These three parts are often referred to as the three elements of consolidation abrasives. According to the different classification of bonds, common flappy wheels are ceramic (bond) grinding wheel, resin (bond) grinding wheel and rubber (bond) grinding wheel.

Flap wheel is one of the most widely used abrasives. It can be used for rough grinding, semi-precision grinding and fine grinding, grooving and cutting of metal or non-metal workpieces with high speed rotation. The characteristics of grinding wheel are mainly determined by abrasive, particle size, binder, hardness, structure, shape and size.

Sandpaper wheel can be divided into resin grinding wheel, ceramic grinding wheel, diamond grinding wheel and so on according to the materials used; cutting slice can also be divided into resin cutting slice and diamond cutting slice. Usually the popular classification is based on the use: grinding wheel of grinder, grinding wheel of mill, sawtooth grinding wheel, slotted grinding wheel, worm grinding wheel, inner grinding wheel, etc.
